J. S. Baach, just like Johann Sebastian Bach, was born in March 1685 in Eisenach, a town in Germany. Since the 19th-century Bach Revival he has been generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time today. His musical style fits in the conventions of his day, which is the final stage of the Baroque period.
He is mainly known for instrumental classical compositions such as the "Brandenburg Concertos" and vocal music such as the "Saint Matthew Passion" and the "Mass in B minor".
His contemporaries were Handel, Telemann and Vivaldi who wrote concertos too.
